Legends are the unique set of characters which you can choose to play for a each match. You can Choose your favorite character and customize the way you want.
When you about to start you get another chance to select the character also to your team. So it will go on a queue moment which you can choose a different character if the player before you selected the same one. In that way you can change the fight.
There are 8 characters in Apex. Each legend have different type of skill sets and abilities.

1. Mirage character abilities
This is best legend and the coolest. He is in the game at the lunch but you have to unlock from the store purchase or you can unlock by in game coins. He also known as the "Holographic Trickster"
Tactical Ability: Psyche Out
- Send out a holographic decoy to confuse the enemy.
- Automatically drop a decoy and cloak for five seconds when knocked down.
- Deploy a team of Decoys to distract enemies while you cloak.
Play-style:
This Character focused on decoys basically. All the three abilities are based on that. You can use this as flanking your enemy or just misdirect him from sending a decoy. Very useful in tactical plays so you can plan the attack while the enemy focused on the decoy.
2. Wraith character abilities
This Legend can be played from the start for free and known as the "Inter-dimensional Skirmisher"
Tactical Ability: Into the Void
- Reposition quickly through the safety of void space, avoiding all damage.
Passive Ability: Voices from the Void
- A voice warns you when danger approaches. As far as you can tell, it's on your side.
Ultimate: Dimensional Rift
- Link two locations with portals for 60 seconds, allowing your entire team to use them.
Play-style:
Wraith has probably the highest skill-cap of any character in Apex Legends so far, thanks to the fairly wide range of possibilities available to you through Into the Void and your ultimate, Dimensional Rift.
You can open up portals to another place and fast travel. Thats a very useful when surprise attacking enemy or you can help the team to retreat from a fight. When you first activated you have the opening of the portal and you can run through the battleground for a limited distance to create the end of the portal. Then you will end up in there.
Also you can quick escape from a fight if you are getting shot at through a quick void.
3. Bloodhound Character Abilities
This Legend is Available from the start and free to play, and known as the 'Technological Tracker'.
Tactical Ability: Eye of the Allfather
- Briefly reveal hidden enemies, traps, and clues throughout structures in front of you.
Passive Ability: Tracker
- See tracks left behind by your foes.
Ultimate: Beast of the Hunt
- Enhances your senses, allowing you to move faster and highlighting your prey.
Play-style:
Bloodhound is basically a tracker or a hunter. It wont be useful everytime but if you be patience enough this is a very powerful ability. Mostly places like small areas which the circle gets smaller the chances you get high because even if they are hiding in bushes, behind rocks or inside a house you just track them down give a really good ambush right to the doorstep. Also will be usfull near drops and loots cus they always leave tracks somewhere at some point. Track down and get the loot back.
4. Pathfinder Character Abilities
Pathfinder is available and free to play from the off in Apex Legends, and known as 'Forward Scout'.
Tactical Ability: Grappling Hook
- Grapple to get to out-of-reach places quickly.
Passive Ability: Insider Knowledge
- Scan a survey beacon to reveal the ring's next location.
Ultimate: Zip-line Gun
- Create a zip-line everyone can use
Pathfinder can move your squad around the battleground with its grappling hooks. Its like fast travel and you can use that drop on enemies and surprise with air assault from the zip line gun.
If use it wisely its good way to play a tactical plan.
5. Lifeline Character Abilities
This legend is available from the start and free to play. Also known as he 'Combat Medic'.
Tactical Ability: D.O.C. Heal Drone
- Call your Drone of Compassion to automatically heal nearby teammates over time.
Passive Ability: Combat Medic
- Revive knocked down teammates faster while protected by a shield wall. Healing items are used 25% faster.
Ultimate: Care Package
- Call in a drop pod full of high-quality defensive gear.
Play-style:
This character is the most common act in every game. Basically its the medic category also combines with support. which you can fast revive, being built around healing teammates and also bonus high class gear. Keep you mates health up and topped.
6. Gibraltar Character Abilities
Legend is available from the beginning and free to play, also known as the 'Shielded Fortress'.
Tactical Ability: Dome of Protection
- Throw down a dome-shield that blocks attacks for 15 seconds.
Passive Ability: Gun Shield
- Aiming down sights deploys a gun shield that blocks incoming fire.
Ultimate: Defensive Bombardment
- Call in a concentrated mortar strike on a marked position.
Play-style:
Gibraltar is defense category. High Artillery long-range offense. You can get the full use of the ability in a still position. With the bubble shield and gun shield combo you will be unstoppable.
Great for distracting enemies allowing for your squad advance on the enemy position while you lay out some cover fire with your shields are up.Also will be helpful to strike through the enemies if you got pinned down and carry your squad.
7. Caustic Character Abilities
Caustic is available from the start but you have to unlock to play, either 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins, also known as the 'Toxic Trapper'
Tactical Ability: Nox Gas Trap
- Drop canisters that release deadly Nox gas when shot or triggered by enemies.
Passive Ability: Nox Vision
- Allows you to see enemies through your gas.
Ultimate: Nox Gas Grenade
- Blankets a large area in Nox gas.
Play-style:
This legend is useful when you combine his abilities together by distracting with your gas and take them down. You can blind them through Nox Gas Trap and use your Passive Ability to see through and take em down before even notice.

Bangalore is free right off and is referred to as a 'Professional Shooter'.
Tactical Ability: Smoke Launcher
- Fire's a high-velocity smoke canister that explodes into a smoke wall on impact.
Passive Ability: Double Time
- Taking fire while sprinting makes you move faster for a brief time.
Ultimate: Rolling Thunder
- Call in an artillery strike that slowly creeps across the landscape.
Play-style:
She is all about tactical gun battle superior. She can be helpful as a combat support also by helping to repositioning your team to flank. Straight up classic gun-based combat.

9. Octane Character Abilities
Octane is the first character to comes with the Battle Pass also the first Legend to arrive post-lunch. Also not free to play you will costs 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins.
Tactical Ability: Stim
- Move 30% faster for 6 seconds. Costs health to use. Reduction to slow while active.
Passive Ability: Swift Mend
- Automatically restores health over time while taking no damage.
Ultimate: Launch Pad
- Deploy a jump pad that catapults teammates through the air.
Play-style:
Launch pad will be helpful for your teammates to technically to fly off from a battle and attach enemy from the air. Restoring health is another special ability will be useful to escape from the fight a bit to restore and re-attack and get the revenge.
